How much time do I have to complete the online course?
You have 6 months to complete Navathome courses, with extensions possible at a cost of £30 per additional 6 month extension.
For RYA Interactive courses you officially have 2 years to complete your course and even then we aren't sure if the RYA ever end date an uncompleted course, but we wouldn't encourage you to test that!

How do I complete the final RYA Marine Radio assessment to gain the VHF Licence?
Before you do your final assessment, which must be done in person in our classroom, you must first complete the final online assessment. Upon completion of that you will receive a completion certificate via email. You must have a copy of that certificate at your final assessment, although an electronic copy will do. Also, before the final classroom assessment you will need to pay the RYA a £60 licence and exam fee. This is paid through the RYA website HERE. Upon completion of the payment to the RYA you will receive a receipt, which you must print out and bring with you to the classroom assessment.
The online assessment certificate number, the RYA payment receipt paperwork and the SRC Eligibility Form, which we retained when we opened the course pack to provide you with your eBook voucher or Handbook, are all brought together upon completion of the classroom assessment to enable us to submit the licence application to the RYA.
Now the classroom assessment itself… we can run these most Friday and Sunday evenings at 6:30pm, an hour before the start of our practical courses, so if you are joining us for a practical course you can turn up an hour early (on arrangement) and we can get the assessment done then, as it should take less than an hour. If you are not participating in a practical course then we can arrange an assessment for you, but it will likely be on a Friday or Sunday at 6:30pm when we are running it for a practical course student. That said, if these days/ times don't work, give us a call and I am sure we will be able to work something out to support you.
